Xref is Reset when reload or reopen.....all offed layer or freeze layer is reset

Well, this is a short tips, if you closed or frozen some layers or do something on xref in a file and having problems when you reload like all came back to original(layers are on and unfreeze). 

Try to type 'visretain' enter in command line, the value should be set to 1.

And also recheck on your setting by going to tool/option/open&save tab/ make sure that you have tick at "Retain changes to Xref layers" as a screenshot below.
